Slide Inn in beautiful Montana on the Madison River

The Slide Inn is located on the banks of the Madison River, one of the most famous blue-ribbon trout streams in the world. Our 1,100 feet of river frontage provides some of the finest fly-fishing opportunities you will find anywhere in the country. During the beautiful days of Spring and Summer, you can literally step out of your cabin and catch some of the largest Rainbow and Brown Trout that inhabit the Madison.

The Slide Inn has three classes of beautiful river-front cabins, 23 full hookup RV sites, and showers and laundry facilities for our guests.

In our Fly Shop we offer everything you will need for your trip. Our guides are top notch, and will assure you the best day on the river possible. In the shop we have thousands of flies as well as products from Patagonia, Sage, Simms, St. Croix, Lamson, Scott, Scientific Anglers and many more.

Kelly and Penny Galloup bought the Slide Inn in March of 2002. They honeymooned on the Madison and always said that they would be back to stay. The purchase of this famous inn has completed that dream. They have three children, Madison, McKenzie and Delaney, all named after the rivers.

Kelly has been a fly fishing guide for 27 years. He started guiding in Michigan at the age of 16. He started his fly shop The Troutsman in Traverse City, Michigan, in 1981. He continued to run The Troutsman until the spring of 2002 when he moved to Montana. He is an author and lecturer. His books are Modern Streamers for Trophy Trout (co-authored with Bob Linsenman) and Cripples and Spinners. Kelly has been published by virtually every major magazine in the business and is Editor-at-Large for Fly Fisherman Magazine. Kelly is also one of the hosts of Fly Fish TV (www.flyfishtv.com) on the Outdoor Life Network.

Our Mission Statement

Under our ownership we intend to run the Slide Inn as a full service fly fishing destination, with a commitment to our guests and the river to do all we can to be the best lodge in the business. We hope to be here for many years to come and the only way we can do this is to ensure that our guests have a great time while they stay with us. We hope that everyone who stays here feels like a friend and not just a customer.
