The Slide Inn is located on the banks of the Madison River, one of the most famous blue-ribbon trout streams in the world. Our 1,100 feet of river frontage provides some of the finest fly-fishing in Montana. During the beautiful days of Spring and Summer, you can literally step out of your cabin and catch some of the largest Rainbow and Brown Trout that inhabit the Madison. Kelly and Penny Galloup bought the Slide Inn in March of 2002. They honeymooned on the Madison River and always said that they would be back to stay. The purchase of this famous inn has completed that dream. They have three children, Madison, McKenzie and Delaney, all named after the rivers.

Kelly has been a fly fishing guide for 27 years. He started guiding in Michigan at the age of 16. He started his fly shop The Troutsman in Traverse City, Michigan, in 1981. He continued to run The Troutsman until the spring of 2002 when he moved to Montana. He is an author and lecturer. His books are Modern Streamers for Trophy Trout (co-authored with Bob Linsenman) and Cripples and Spinners. Kelly has been published by virtually every major fly fishing magazine in the business and is Editor-at-Large for Fly Fisherman Magazine. Kelly is also one of the hosts of Fly Fish TV (www.flyfishtv.com) on the Outdoor Life Network.
