Description
Dally’s lap dancer is a double articulated streamer that comes to us from our good friend, guide, and White River fly shop owner Steve Dally. The lap dancer is a wounded baitfish imitation that was originally designed to target trophy brown trout on Arkansas’ White River system, but it has proved equally as effective on smallmouth and largemouth bass, pike, musky, stripers, and other predatory gamefish throughout the country. Measuring in at just over 7 inches long, this fly features a body composed primarily of bucktail with plenty of flash overtones in the form of 1/69″ lateral scale and krystal flash. The front of this pattern features a Rainy’s foam diver head, which allows it to push plenty of water while accelerating the rear section. In addition, the two pairs of saddle hackles in the tail give the lap dancer that irresistible swimming motion that seems to provoke even the most suspicious carnivores. Dally’s lap dancer is best suited for fishing on 250 grain sinking lines and above, and is available in olive/yellow or rainbow.
