The 3-TAND TF series fly reel offers the only Nano CF Drag (Nano Carbon Fiber) on the market, which allows each reel to provide zero start-up inertia. Made from 6061-T-6 aluminum, cold-forged, tempered, diamond turned, and anodized; 3-TAND's TF-Series is lightweight and extremely durable. The fully-sealed drag protects your reel from the harshest conditions, and you can easily reverse it from left-hand to right-hand retrieve. The spools features a unique hidden counter weight, and reel seats offer a raised rubber surface to grip the reel foot to reel seat.
Just as the 5-weight rod has become the all-purpose freshwater choice for many fly fishers, great for everything from Trout to Carp and Bass, the Super 5N from Abel has been built to handle any virtually any situation thrown its way. The large arbor gives you great line pickup while keeping coiling to a minimum, and the narrow width and low weight of the reel lends itself to excellent feel on 5-weight rods. Salmon and steelhead are demanding fish, requiring a reel that allows for both a lightning-quick retrieve rate as well as a strong, smooth drag. The abel super 6N large arbor reel gives both while matching up perfectly with both 6-weight and 7-weight rod, making it an excellent selection for the times when that balance between power and speed becomes necessary. Abel uses a superior high grade Portuguese cork with a little neat’s-foot oil on it. Advantages include: Increased reliability, back-up strength and unique flexibility, meaning that you can interchange large & standard arbor spools. Made in the USA. Color: Black.
Stalking the flats for bonefish and redfish is the favorite pastime of may fly fishers, and these strong species were what abel had in mind when the abel super 7-8N was designed. A narrow-width spool all but eliminates the need to guide the line onto the reel, while its large arbor allows for an incredible retrieve rate – perfect for recovering line after a blistering run. The abel super 7-8N will easily hold a saltwater 7- or 8-weight line with plenty of backing to spare, and gives you the stopping power necessary to slow down the hottest of gamefish. The Guru has been one of our top selling reels in the shop over the last five years, and we knew it wouldn't be long until it got a face lift-- Enter the Guru series 2. Lamson went back to the drawing board in order to make their most affordable, fully machined reel even better, and that's exactly what they did. The geometry of the spool was updated to give the reel a better retrieval rate, and a noticeable reduction in weight was attained by opening up the porting along the sides of the spool. In addition, a curved cross section arbor was added for structural stability, making the workhorse of the waterworks-lamson line up even stronger. Simply put, The lamson guru series 2 is an incredible reel for the money and features the same smooth drag system as their high end models. Please Note: Series 1 Guru Spools are not Compatible with Series 2.
If you are looking for one of the best deals in the industry, then the lamson liquid 3 pack is just what the doctor ordered. The lamson liquid 3 pack includes a complete liquid reel with 2 extra spools in a nylon carrying case for under $160.00-- Basically you are getting a third spool for free.
Nudging out a worthy old war horse like the konic wasn’t easy, so when the guys down at the waterworks-lamson started creating the new liquid reel they focused purely on the virtues and advantages that a pressure-cast process can offer. Structurally you can do things with casting that you can’t machine, such as full radiused compound curves, near zero-radius inside corners, and for precise fit and finish you can go back and machine the cast part in critical areas, amplifying the best aspects of the process.
They pushed back on other boundaries as well. How much of a reel at this price could be made here in the U.S.? Quite a lot as it turns out, and it’s a good mix. These high quality castings are imported, but the components critical to the drag system are CNC-machined here in the U.S.. All liquid fly reels are assembled in Boise, Idaho alongside lamson's highest priced models, and feature the exact same drag.

Our favorite reel in the Waterworks-Lamson lineup just got even better in 2017. The Litespeed Micra 5 features an even higher retrieve rate, narrower spool for improved line handling, and a stiffer frame. You will also find enhanced 3D milling for better material distribution and an improved ergonomic drag knob for better grip exclusively on this new reel. Lastly, the Generation 5 Lamson Litespeed comes with a revolutionary new coating called Micralox. New to the fly fishing industry and only available on Waterworks-Lamson fly reels, Micralox is the ultimate in corrosion resistance and will stand up to years of abuse. All of this reinforces why the Litespeed has been the most popular reel in the Waterworks-Lamson lineup for close to 20 years now, and we don't see that changing anytime soon.
The lamson remix reel is a hybrid of the free-form structures of a cast spool and the mechanical integrity of a CNC-machined case. The reel frame of the lamson remix is CNC-machined here in the U.S. from 6061 bar-stock aluminum, and delivers maximum structural rigidity and durability all wrapped in a harder, brighter finish. The spool, pressure cast with radiused compound curves, near zero-radius inside corners and a precise fit and finish, delivers both value and aesthetic appeal.
Simply put, the lamson remix brings together the best of CNC machining and pressure-cast technologies to deliver an unprecedented level of quality for well under $200.00. In addition to the American made case, all critical drag components are CNC-machined here in the U.S.. And like the lamosn liquid, remix reels are assembled in Boise by our skilled and experienced team. The result of this Remix? High performance, reliability, quality assurance and visual appeal.

The lamson speedster reel features a super-high retrieve rate with a narrower spool, inboard mounted handle, and an outer diameter significantly larger than lamson's highest performing reels. The narrow spool prevents line barreling, while the added circumference and inboard handle improve retrieve rate. Combine these features with lamson's time tested, smooth as silk, and maintenance free drag system, and you have what the name implies: A hotrod of a reel. *standard lamson speedster spools are not compatible with the HD version.
