It’s been more of the same on the Upper Madison these days, with very little pressure and lots of fish to be had. There were four cars down at Raynold’s Bridge and two cars parked at the Three Dollar entrance, so we headed down to Pine Butte and caught a pile of nice browns and rainbows on Three dollar dips and #18 BH hares ears. Once it seemed like the fish were getting wise to our presence, we drove back over to Raynolds and fished some of the deeper slicks out in the middle of the river, and they did not disappoint. Sometimes the takes were quite subtle and other times the indicator would shoot three to four feet upstream, but all the fish were hot and put up great fights. Long story short…IT’S BEEN REALLY GOOD AROUND HERE.
