Madison River Fishing Report for June 5th, 2018
Dam: 2,140 cfs
Kirby: 2,950 cfs
Varney: 4,550 cfs
Clarity update. The Upper Madison has cleared up considerably over the last few days and we are now sitting at over two and a half feet of visibility above the West Fork. The West Fork is still putting in some dirty water, but it is starting to clean up a little more with each passing day. Better reports are starting to come in from boats in the float section between Palisades and Ennis as well, so that will open up some new water for the time being. Again, you’ll want to stay away from Lyon’s to Palisades until the river drops another 300 cfs, as Sun West and Wolf Creek Bridges are still extremely dangerous to float under. For a full fishing report, check out our last one from June 2nd.
