The Butt Monkey streamer fly pattern is a proven big fish streamer that has stood the test of time.
Description
The butt monkey was designed by Scott Smith of Thunderbay, Ontario for giant brook trout. The original butt monkey, as seen on the cover of Modern Streamers for Trophy Trout, did not have lead eyes but I added them later for a little jigging action. With or with out them, the butt monkey is one of the best big trout patterns I have ever fished.
