Echo Streamer X

Description

When I asked Tim Rajeff to build the new Echo Streamer X fly rod I told him that I wanted a rod close to the Bank Robber that had done previously with St. Croix, but with some slight modifications. First I needed a little faster tip for animating the fly and to help set the hook. Second I wanted the mid section to be a little softer and a little further down the rod — The ability of the mid section to flex opens your loop for you, as the last thing you want is to carry a tight loop when you’re throwing a 7 inch fly and a sinking line. Third I wanted a little faster butt section — This is where the rod needs to work for you, as the bottom end is what you count on to set the hook and fight the fish.  Tim accomplished all of this with the added bonus of making the rod even lighter. It’s a win-win and I couldn’t be happier about the new Echo Streamer X fly rod.
