Description
Galloup’s goober midge is a midge variation of the goober
caddis.  Although this pattern is extremely simple in design, you will be amazed by its ability to fool the pickiest trout in the river.  This fly features a black body, deer hair wing, grizzly hackle, and four strands of micro lateral scale that imitate the reflective wings of the skittering adult midge. The goober has been our top midge imitation on the Madison for years now, but it has proven itself on more technical pieces of water such as the Missouri and Henry’s Fork rivers.
