Hurst’s Mini Thrasher

Description

Hurst’s Mini Thrasher is a smaller version of the Thrasher, tied by Umpqua signature fly tyer Eric Hurst. The action of the Mini Thrasher mimics erratic baitfish behavior. Front hook is a #2 and the back hook is a #4.

“I created the Mini Thrasher to be more of a bite size option for those fish that don’t understand attack mode. The deer hair allows the fly to sink slowly creating a unique hover technique. It fights against the laser dub, that holds more water, to give it the thrashing motion. These materials work really well against each other to help get more strikes in different water columns.
