CJ’s Sluggo comes to us from Chad Johnson of Flippin, Arkansas. Chad developed this pattern on the White and Norfolk Rivers, and it has been responsible for some serious brown trout over the years. The Sluggo throws off a big profile while being very easy to cast, and certainly deserves a couple slots in your streamer box. Fly Size is 7.5″ for #1/0 and 5″ for #2.
Description
CJ’s Sluggo comes to us from Chad Johnson of Flippin, Arkansas. Chad developed this pattern on the White and Norfolk Rivers, and it has been responsible for some serious brown trout over the years. This is an unweighted fly designed to be fished with a sinking line, due to the healthy amount of bucktail used for both the head and wing of the streamer. The rest of the body is composed of UV Polar Chenille, MFC Barred Schlappen and Bucktail. CJ’s Sluggo throws off a big profile while being very easy to cast, and certainly deserves a couple slots in your streamer box if hunting big brown trout is your thing.
