The Douglas Sky G is a welcome addition to their Sky Series of rods and certainly one of the nicer sticks we’ve seen in quite some time.
Description
The Douglas Sky G Fly Rod excels in presenting dry flies precisely and delicately with minimal effort, but can also be a superior indicator, nymph, and streamer rod. This is a great multi-purpose lightweight fly rod featuring a moderate fast-action blank constructed with G-Tec platelets. G-Tec is comprised of one of the strongest materials known to man and is ten times strong than steel with only 5% of its density. This in turn allows for less material to be used, resulting in lighter blanks, increased sensitivity, and an improved swing weight. G-Tec is also a great conductor of energy which translates to an effortless cast.
This rod is also incredibly light and is also equipped with top of the line components including REC titanium stripper guides with zirconia inserts, REC Titanium recoil guides, AAAA floor grade cork, skeletonized aluminum reel seat, double uplocking rings and burled blackwood inserts.  The Douglas Sky G is a welcome addition to their Sky Series of rods and certainly one of the nicer dry fly sticks we’ve seen in quite some time.
