Description

The Echo Shadow X Euro Fly Rod is the newest addition to Echo’s line of competition nymph rods, and the successor of the popular Shadow II. Tim Rajeff worked with veteran Euro Nymph guru Pete Erickson, 2018 fly fishing world champion Norm Maktima, and expert Mariusz Wrobewski to create a rod that is dialed-in to perform at the sport’s highest levels. By using the most advanced high modulus graphite available to them, they were able to achieve the lightest rod Echo has ever produced – 20% lighter than the Shadow II.  Tim said that this was the most challenging project he had ever completed in the history of the rod company, as neither they nor their experts in the field would be satisfied without a rod that balanced a level of sensitivity not before thought possible while keeping its ability to achieve effective hook sets.  The Echo Shadow X stands apart from the competition and is quickly becoming one of the most popular Euro Nymph rods on the market today.
