Lafontaine’s Beadhead Sparkle Pupa

Gary Lafontaine’s classic caddis pupa imitation that changed the caddis sub-surface game forever.  Gary referred to the bh sparkle pupa as the deep sparkle pupa, and it has accounted for as many fish on the Madison as any other caddis pupa imitation out there.  The key to this pattern’s success is the antron body material that creates an air bubble around the fly, which is formed when the natural pupa tries to break through its exoskeleton as it emerges.
