Galloup’s Wooly Sculpin

Description

The wooly sculpin is very similar to a sculpin pattern that was originally designed by ed shenk. I simply put a hackle on it to fill it out, and removed the marabou wing he used to tie in behind the head.  If I had to choose one single hook streamer to fish for the rest of my life it would be very close between this fly and the zoo cougar, but in the end I would probably lean towards the wooly sculpin. The wooly sculpin streamer fly pattern has the ability to be fished in many different ways to imitate fleeing or injured sculpins. Simply put, this fly is one that I never leave behind when I head out on the water.  If you want this fly to get deeper in the water column, consider looking at my conehead wooly sculpin. Available colors: black, white, tan, and olive.  Size: 2-4.
