Kelly’s Tilt Wing Dun has been a solid producer for us over the last several seasons, so he decided to do some in two of his favorite dry fly patterns: Robert’s Yellow Drake and his very own Brown Drake. Not only are these great mayfly imitations, but we have also used them as searching patterns with amazing success during the summer. The deer hair body is thin enough to maintain a realistic profile with all the benefits of added flotation, and the bleached elk hair wing makes this pattern extremely visible on the water. The #16 Robert’s Yellow Drake makes for a great Pale Morning Dun.
